Tiny Home Project - Floor Plan Design

Students can visualise their persona’s needs in a page layout of the floor plan. In this task they can demonstrate “big picture” understanding of small spaces for affordable living by creating a simplified layout in Pages using a set of assets provided.

In this task, students can learn to use new tools available in Pages, including grouping, breaking apart shapes, and colouring cells that have Conditional Highlighting Rules, thereby enhancing their digital capacity and engagement while completing the layout design. The differentiation (UDL) allowed students to discuss their design insights through text or voice.
