An Honest MacBook Neo Review for Teachers

My school (like many, I'm sure) have got a close eye on the new MacBook Neo as a potential successor for the MacBook Air we currently have as both a device for students and for teachers.

With all the recent buzz, the Neo has quickly become a standout option in the current lineup, especially with that attractive education discount. It certainly looks like a fantastic candidate for 1:1 programs and as a teacher device, but I wanted to dig a little deeper to see how it performs day-to-day.

I’ve been testing the Neo over the last few weeks, comparing it against my usual MacBook Pro, and I’ve put together a video covering what teachers and schools should keep in mind before making the switch.

In the video, I walk through:

✅ Why the Neo could be the perfect fit for your classroom.

💡 Some important tips and considerations to keep in mind

If you are currently looking at the Neo as a potential investment for you or you school, I hope this helps with your decision!

I’d also love to hear from anyone else here who has had experience using the Neo at work or in the classroom. What have your initial impressions been so far? Are you seeing it hold up well to daily student use?
